Kaida Plateau is located on the foot of Ontake Mountain in Kiso Town, Nagano Prefecture. The average elevation here is above 1000 m.
The highest temperature in the summer was below 30 degree centigrade, and the lowest temperature in the winter was below minus 20. Recently, the highest temperature in the summer is beyond 30 sometimes because of global warming. The lowest temperature in the summer is always below 20. The difference in temperature make the agricultural products' sweetness improved. One of the famous agricultural products here is corn.

The farmers harvest corn in the morning and sell them online in the work days. In weekend, they carry corn and another vegetables by small trucks and come together in the morning. It is morning market.
In addition, kaida Plateau is also famous of soba, a kind of cereal that Japanese people make noodle by it. Farmers sow soba in early July, when the rainy season end. Soba will be in the bloom in the middle of August. Japanese people have a long holiday in the middle of August. During this period, Kaida Plateau is a wonderful destination for them. However, if the rainy season extend, farmers will postpone their schedule of sow. And then, the bloom of soba will be extend to late August or early Sepetember.
