Small accommodation Sawaya in Otaki Village

A small accommodation named Sawaya in Otaki Village, Nagano Prefecture, Japan, was started 32 years ago. This accommodation was started by former landlady, the mother of landlady's husband. Former landlady reformed family's house and started  accommodation. And now, landlady and her husband are running this accommodation, they are also living here.

  There are three rooms on the second floor. 

The room is typical Japanese family style. Guest can enjoy the Japanese family's atmosphere and the forest scenery from window.

The dinning room is on the first floor. Guests can enjoy typical Japanese family meal here. Landlady always use seasonal vegetables that local farmers made and the vegetables took from mountain, to make guests' meal. The maximum capacity here is 12 persons.  Landlady said it is difficult for her and her husband to prepare all guests' meal during the busy season, she will ask her sister's help. Her sister is living in Azumino, where is around 90 km away from Otaki Village. 

Landlady said it would be hard for her and her husband to run a small business like this accommodation, since they are beyond 80 years old and their bodies became weaker than before. If there is no successor, maybe they will close this accommodation during several years.
